Arizona high school football coach taken by ambulance to hospital after game
Moments after his Bullhead City River Valley football team's 28-14 loss Friday night to Buckeye Odyssey Institute, head coach Adam King was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he remained hospitalized Saturday.
Tim Richard, superintendent of the Colorado River Union High School District, confirmed with The Arizona Republic on Saturday that King was taken to the hospital, but he did not disclose any further details on what the medical issue was.
In a statement, Richard wrote to The Republic on Saturday, "I visited and spoke with Mr. King at the hospital this morning. Our learning community is standing by and ready to support coach King and his family in what we hope will be a speedy recovery.”

Athletic Director Dorn Wilcox wrote in an email on Saturday afternoon to The Republic that, "At this time he is still in the hospital. "
Wilcox said he was not certain what the medical issue is, so he couldn't say.
"More tests to run and may not know more before Monday," Wilcox said.
The game was played at River Valley's home stadium at the Anderson Auto Fieldhouse in Bullhead City. His team is 6-2 and came into the week with a five-game winning streak and ranked No. 8 by the Arizona Interscholastic Association in the 3A playoff rankings.
King was hired in February to be River Valley's head coach. He had coached the last five years at Mohave High School, which is ranked No. 1 in 3A by The Republic. He was an offensive coordinator for four years and the defensive coordinator one year at Mohave. Before that, King coached in Michigan.
